Chip Timing
All inline and roller skating timed events will using chip timing from Amazing Race Timing.  Prior to skating, all participants are required to check-in to complete a waiver and receive their assigned chip.

requirements

Eligibility
All 5K participants must be at least 5 years of age.

Waiver
All skating participants must check in and complete a waiver prior to entering both Saturday & Sunday events.

Drafting & Etiquette
Cross-gender drafting is permitted. All slower skaters are requested to skate in the right side of the track to allow for incident free passing by faster skaters in the left lane.

Event Number
All participants must wear their event number on their left thigh to access the track.

Protective Equipment
All participants are required to wear a helmet and wrist protection. Knee and elbow pads are recommended.

Additional Safety Precautions
Headphones, baby joggers, strollers and animals are not permitted on the track.

Skateboards are not permitted on the Fairfax County Vehicle Operations Course in Chantilly, VA.

Personal Hydration
It is recommended that all participants bring their own personal hydration system
(e.g. water bottle or Camelbak) or have supporters available to hand you water bottles.

Prize Purse
There will be a monetary prize purse for the top 3 finishers of the Pro/Elite Criterium and Marathon!

Awards
Medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age category for the Marathon,
Half Marathon, Pro/Elite Criterium, 10K & 5K.

Age Categories
Primary 8 & Under, Juvenile 9-10, Freshman 10-13, Junior 14-17, Senior 18-24,
Master 25-34, Master 35-44, Master 45-54, Master 55+

Results
Results will be posted online by June 30, 2013.

weather policy

Inclement Weather Policy
No skating will be permitted in the case of lightning.  

The 5K & 1-Lap Kids Roll will be cancelled if the pavement is wet.

Breakfast and lunch food and beverages will be available to purchase from Java Cruiser.
